Lannett Announces Dismissal Of Class Action Lawsuit
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Lannett Company, Inc. (NYSE: LCI) today announced that the United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed in its entirety a putative class action lawsuit against a multitude of generic drug manufacturers including Lannett alleging claims under Pennsylvania state law for violations of the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, civil conspiracy, and aiding and abetting.
"We are pleased with the Court's decision to grant the motions to dismiss the plaintiff's action and believe the ruling supports our position that the lawsuit was without merit," said Arthur Bedrosian, chief executive officer of Lannett.
The lawsuit was docketed under Plumbers Local Union No 690 Health Plans vs. Apotex Corp, et al., Defendants, Civil Action No.: 16-665.
